It wasn’t long after your departure that you felt a certain presence following behind you. As soon as the purple ring of your portal dissipated into thin air, he followed shortly behind, landing skillfully in step with you.
“Stop following me.”
His answer was immediate. “I can help you.”
You snarled over your shoulder, “I don’t need your help.”
“You do.” He replied steadily, childishly - he was definitely stubborn.
A scoff, “Right. Help - from what? A child?”
“I’m older than you,” he defended, coming in to walk beside you, arms crossed over his chest. From your peripherals, you could see the frown lines upon his forehead and just how much he took offense to your previous backhanded response.
Apparently, he wasn’t prepared for you to call him a child.
“Sure, Kid.” You huffed, rolling your eyes.
He was quick to fire back, “Time traveler, remember?”
Your feet came to an immediate cease, causing Five to bump into you from the change of pace. You turned to face him, eyes narrowed and accusatory. “Alright then,” you blew a strand of your hair out from your face, “How old are you?”
